The role supports sophisticated counseling on tax-qualified plans, nonqualified deferred compensation, equity-based compensation and related regulatory issues.
This position is open to candidates for the firm's Washington, D.C., Boston or New York offices and offers client-facing work alongside experienced tax and benefits lawyers on corporate, transactional and advisory matters.
The team handles plan design and documentation, compliance and regulatory analysis, and cross-practice collaborations on M&A and compensation-sensitive transactions.
- 3–6 years post-JD experience in executive compensation, employee benefits or ERISA-related tax work
- Juris Doctor and active bar admission; strong academic record preferred
- Experience drafting plan documents, deferred comp arrangements and equity award agreements
- Comfort advising corporate clients on tax and ERISA compliance and transactional compensation issues
