Financial Services Regulatory Associate/Special Counsel

Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, seeks an experienced associate or special counsel to join its Financial Services Regulatory practice.

Working at the intersection of technology and financial services regulation, this role involves advising clients on sophisticated technology and commercial transactions, with a particular focus on fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, and digital assets.

• Draft and negotiate complex technology agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, and cloud services agreements.
• Support strategic partnerships and other commercial arrangements.
• Advise on bank-fintech partnerships, payments systems, blockchain, stablecoins, tokenization, and digital asset custody.
• Collaborate with regulatory and corporate practitioners to structure and launch innovative products.
• Manage matters independently and build strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates will have at least five years of relevant experience, strong academic credentials, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and sound commercial judgment. Experience at a nationally recognized firm with a technology transactions or digital assets practice is preferred.

• J.D. from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction of practice.
• Five or more years of substantive experience in technology and commercial transactions, with emphasis on fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, or digital assets.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements such as technology licensing, SaaS, and cloud services.
• Familiarity with bank-fintech partnerships, blockchain, stablecoins, tokenization, or digital asset custody.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with sound commercial judgment and the ability to manage sophisticated matters independently.
