Our client, a leading law firm, seeks an experienced associate or special counsel to join its Financial Services Regulatory practice.

This role focuses on advising clients in the fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, and digital assets sectors. The successful candidate will have at least five years of experience with sophisticated technology and commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating complex agreements such as technology licensing, SaaS and cloud services arrangements, and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients on fintech and digital asset products and platforms, including bank-fintech partnerships, payments, blockchain, cryptocurrency, stablecoins, tokenization, custody, and related infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with regulatory and corporate lawyers to help clients structure and launch innovative products and commercial relationships at the intersection of technology and financial services regulation.
  • Independently managing sophisticated matters and client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience at a nationally recognized law firm with a technology transactions, fintech, and/or digital assets practice is preferred.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in financial services regulatory and technology transactions.
  • Experience with fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, and/or digital assets matters.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with experience handling complex commercial agreements.
  • Excellent academic credentials and sound commercial judgment.
  • Ability to independently manage matters and client relationships.
