Insurance Defense Attorney — Insurance Litigation, Los Angeles

A litigation role in the insurance and maritime defense team of a global insurance-focused firm. The position is based in Los Angeles with a hybrid working pattern and regular collaboration with colleagues across the firm’s international offices.

Successful candidates will join a practice handling defence of insurance and liability claims across complex, often cross-border matters. The team supports on all stages of litigation from case strategy and pleadings through discovery, depositions, motions and alternative dispute resolution.

The firm offers structured training, mentorship, opportunities for client secondments and a supportive associate development programme aimed at building long-term litigation careers.

• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience, preferably with insurance-defense or maritime exposure
• Experience proposing litigation strategy, drafting pleadings, discovery and motions, and taking/defending depositions
• Comfort with motion practice, mediations and trial preparation
• Admission and good standing in California required; additional state admissions a plus
• Strong client-facing and oral/written advocacy skills
