Seeking an Intellectual Property Associate to join a busy technology-focused IP team in Palo Alto. The role involves supporting patent work across prosecution, opinions, litigation support and transactional matters under attorney supervision.

Typical responsibilities include working with inventors, drafting patent applications and responses to patent office communications, conducting patent and technical searches, preparing instructions for foreign filings, and assisting with patentability, validity, freedom-to-operate and infringement analyses.

The team handles matters for clients in semiconductor and broader technology sectors and offers opportunities to participate in special projects and cross-practice collaborations.

Juris Doctor (or equivalent) and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, or substantial progress toward admission
Technical background in technology (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science, semiconductor-related experience)
Experience with patent prosecution tasks: drafting applications, responding to office actions, and conducting patentability/freedom-to-operate searches and analyses
Strong writing, analytical skills, and ability to work collaboratively with inventors and attorneys
