An established global legal consulting platform is seeking experienced corporate governance and compliance lawyers to join its UAE panel for interim assignments with leading clients in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Assignments are typically six months or more and may be based within a law firm's practice groups or directly with client organisations.

Consultants advise senior stakeholders on corporate governance, regulatory compliance and company secretarial matters, and are expected to have a proven track record in the UAE of ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Engagements vary in nature and scope across sectors including energy, investment and financial services.

Representative work includes advising on general corporate and corporate governance matters such as entity establishment and management, board and shareholder resolutions, minutes, registrations and filings; reviewing, developing and drafting organisational policies and procedures and overseeing policy management processes; and managing corporate documents and providing company secretary support to committees, subsidiaries and affiliates.

Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in corporate governance and compliance
Substantial experience gained in private practice at a law firm ranked top tier for funds work
In-house legal experience at a leading financial services institution or corporate, directly or as a secondee
Preferably legal experience gained in the Middle East
Practising certificate (or equivalent) entitling practice as a lawyer in the region
Strong project management skills and exemplary commercial and business acumen
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
Resilient, autonomous and highly credible approach with a flexible, adaptable consultant mindset
