Apply in confidence →Seeking an associate to join a national investment funds team in the Houston office. The role focuses on fund formation and regulatory work supporting investment management clients.
Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting offering and disclosure materials, negotiating investment management and related agreements, and advising on the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and applicable commodity regulation.
The team hires candidates with strong securities-regulatory experience who are admitted to practice in Texas and can handle both transactional drafting and regulatory interpretation.
- Minimum 3 years' PQE in investment fund formation or investment management work
- Experience with Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act matters; familiarity with commodity regulation a plus
- Skilled drafting and negotiation of disclosure documents and investment management agreements
- Admission to the Texas bar (required)
- J.D. from an accredited law school
