Apply in confidence →

Our Labor & Employment Group is seeking a midlevel associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm setting to join our practice in our Washington, D.C. or Baltimore office.

Our team advises and represents employers across the full spectrum of labor and employment law, including workplace counseling, litigation, traditional labor relations, regulatory compliance, and training. This is an opportunity to work on challenging matters in a collaborative environment alongside experienced practitioners who are invested in your professional growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience in both employment litigation and counseling, with a strong academic record and excellent analytical and communication skills. Prior matter experience should include litigating anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour cases; restrictive covenant advice, including non-disclosure agreements, non-competition agreements, and non-solicitation agreements; internal investigations of alleged workplace misconduct; and related employment policy drafting experience, including employee handbooks and employment offer letters. Experience with traditional labor matters such as collective bargaining and union arbitration is a plus, but not required. We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a knack for finding practical solutions to complex problems, and eagerness to take the lead on depositions, hearings, and mediations. A track record of providing business-oriented, strategic advice to clients is highly desired.

Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to, and in good standing with, the relevant jurisdiction's bar. The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong research and writing skills, superior organizational abilities, and an outstanding academic record.

We provide competitive compensation and benefits at all levels, comprehensive professional development, and hands-on mentoring from senior practitioners. Interested candidates should submit a resume, law school transcripts, and a brief cover letter noting their preferred office location (Washington, D.C. or Baltimore).
