A leading international law firm
Apply in confidence →Our Labor & Employment Group is seeking a midlevel associate with at least two years of law firm experience to join our Washington, D.C. or Baltimore office. The group advises and represents employers across the full spectrum of labor and employment law, including workplace counseling, litigation, traditional labor relations, regulatory compliance, and training. This is an opportunity to work on challenging matters in a collaborative environment alongside experienced practitioners who are invested in your professional growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both employment litigation and counseling, with a strong academic record and excellent analytical and communication skills. Prior matter experience should include litigating anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour cases; advising on restrictive covenants, including non-disclosure, non-competition, and non-solicitation agreements; conducting internal investigations of alleged workplace misconduct; and drafting employment policies, including employee handbooks and offer letters. Experience with traditional labor matters such as collective bargaining and union arbitration is a plus, but not required. We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a knack for finding practical solutions to complex problems, and eagerness to take the lead on depositions, hearings, and mediations. A track record of providing business-oriented, strategic advice to clients is highly desired.

- Experience in both employment litigation and counseling.
- Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and a record of academic achievement.
- Experience with traditional labor matters (collective bargaining, union arbitration) is a plus.
