Labor & Employment Counsel — Los Angeles

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel to join the Los Angeles team of a nationally recognized, consistently ranked employment practice group. The role offers substantive client contact and significant involvement in case strategy and management. Attorneys at the firm are supported through comprehensive training, continuing legal education initiatives, internal professional development programs, industry credentialing and hands-on learning alongside partners.

This position is based in Los Angeles, with openings in the Downtown and Century City offices.

• 6+ years of labor and employment litigation defense experience, ideally covering wage and hour laws, terminations, layoffs, workplace violence prevention, internal investigation procedures, and developments in California law
• Experience reviewing, updating and maintaining employee handbooks and a variety of standalone employment policies and agreements
• Top law firm background with excellent academic credentials
• Ability to take responsibility for routine and increasingly complex matters with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Intellectual curiosity, creative thinking and a knack for practical solutions to complex problems
• Licensed and admitted to practice in the State of California
