We are seeking an experienced litigation Counsel to manage complex drug, medical device, consumer product, and related product liability matters. This is a senior role for a capable advocate who can take ownership of litigation, develop strategy alongside partners and clients, and drive matters from inception through resolution.

The position involves drafting substantive pleadings and motions, managing discovery, preparing and participating in depositions, hearings, arguments, and mediations, and analyzing scientific, medical, and technical evidence to build persuasive legal positions. You will work directly with clients on case strategy and risk, collaborate with experts and consultants, and supervise and mentor associates and other legal professionals.

Trial preparation and, where appropriate, trial execution are part of the role. The successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for emerging legal AI and eDiscovery tools, excellent judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-performing team.

J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to applicable state bar(s)
8+ years of relevant experience in drug, medical device, consumer product, product liability, toxic tort, or related complex litigation
Experience managing asbestos or talc litigation preferred
Strong deposition, motion practice, discovery, and case-management experience
Experience handling complex scientific, medical, technical, or expert-driven issues
Federal and/or state court litigation experience; MDL experience a plus
California state court trial experience
Trial preparation and/or trial execution experience preferred
Strong legal writing, client-management, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
Aptitude for emerging legal AI tools for document review, analysis, and eDiscovery
