Apply in confidence →Senior lateral opportunity for a partner-level practitioner to join a major international firm’s Washington, D.C. office, working across corporate and commercial litigation matters. The role suits a lawyer who combines transactional M&A and corporate governance experience with hands-on commercial dispute experience or who can develop cross-practice client relationships.
The team advises corporations, sponsors and other sophisticated clients on mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance and related transactional work, while coordinating with litigation colleagues on commercial disputes when matters overlap. The role will involve client relationship management, origination and leading engagements end-to-end.
- Established partner-level experience in both corporate transactions (M&A, corporate governance, transactional matters) and commercial litigation or demonstrated ability to generate cross-practice work.
- Proven track record of client origination and maintenance; a portable practice or demonstrable client relationships is expected.
- Admitted (or eligible) to practice in D.C.; JD or equivalent and significant partner/leadership experience at a law firm.
- Ability to lead teams, drive business development, and work collaboratively across practice groups and jurisdictions.
