Apply in confidence →

An appointment at partner level of this kind turns on what actually moves with you, not on a headline number.

Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking a lateral partner to join its litigation practice with a focus on energy matters. The role is part of an evergreen search and is open to exceptional candidates with a strong portable book of business, ideally based in Texas, though Washington, D.C., Houston, and Dallas are all preferred locations.

  • Represent clients in complex energy-related disputes, leveraging the firm's deep cross-practice bench in energy, real estate, public policy, and traditional utility work.
  • Work collaboratively across offices and practice groups on high-stakes matters, including data center and infrastructure work.
  • Benefit from a collegial, non-siloed culture that supports cross-border and cross-practice collaboration.
  • Portable book of business of $1.5M+ (USD)
  • Experience as an energy litigator at the partner level, with a preference for Texas-based candidates.
  • Ability to meet a billing rate of at least $1,000 per hour, ideally $1,100–$1,200.
  • Willingness to work on a hybrid basis (typically three days per week in office).
  • No regulatory agency or in-house candidates at this time.

Everything is held in confidence and no detail leaves us without your explicit approval.
