Lateral Partner — Corporate M&A (Technology focus), Calgary

Leading national law firm is seeking a Lateral Partner to join its Calgary corporate team with a clear focus on technology-driven M&A and complementary capital markets work. The role is equity-partner level and intended for a candidate who will build and grow a portable corporate practice within an established platform.

The team prefers partners with demonstrable experience advising on technology transactions, cross-border corporate matters, and related capital markets or commercial work. Candidates who can contribute a portable book or show a credible trajectory for generating new client business will be prioritized. There is flexibility in structuring opportunities and compensation for the right hire.

Group or team hires are of particular interest, though strong solo laterals will also be considered. The office is Calgary-based; candidates should be able to practice in Alberta or be willing to relocate and complete local admission requirements.

• Proven partner-level experience in M&A with a strong technology focus and relevant capital markets exposure
• Track record of originating and developing client relationships; portable practice desirable
• Ability to lead and mentor a team and contribute to business development initiatives
• Admission (or eligibility for admission) to the Alberta bar and willingness to be based in Calgary
