Leading US law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its San Francisco Energy & Environmental practice. The role focuses on regulatory counseling, enforcement defense, and transactional support for clients in the energy sector, with significant interaction on federal and state environmental matters.

Ideal candidates will have established experience with EPA-related regulatory matters and an ability to advise clients across permitting, compliance, and enforcement risk. The position offers high-visibility matters and collaboration with a multi-office team advising energy industry clients.

A portable practice and demonstrable business development capability are welcome. This is a partner-level opportunity to grow a market-facing practice within an established platform.

Partner-level experience practicing energy and environmental law, including regulatory and enforcement matters
Experience with EPA or comparable federal/state environmental agencies and related compliance work
Proven client development and relationship-management skills; portable book of business welcomed
Bar admission in California (or eligible), excellent drafting and advocacy skills, and ability to mentor junior lawyers
