Apply in confidence →Leading international law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Washington, D.C. finance and banking practice. The role will focus on advising banks, financial institutions and corporate borrowers on complex financing transactions and regulatory-driven matters.
The partner will have a high-profile, client-facing role with responsibility for originating work, managing deal teams and coordinating cross-border matters with other offices. The team advises on a mix of syndicated lending, acquisition finance, restructuring-related financings and regulatory aspects of banking transactions.
- Proven partner-level track record in finance and banking work, with experience on syndicated and bilateral lending, acquisition finance and related transactions.
- Demonstrable client development and relationship-management ability; a portable practice or significant client relationships preferred.
- Experience managing and mentoring teams on complex, cross-border matters.
- Admission to the D.C. bar or eligibility to practice in the jurisdiction; strong commercial judgment and excellent drafting and negotiating skills.
