An established international practice is seeking a lateral partner to lead and grow a fund formation and structuring offering across the Paris, Luxembourg and Brussels markets. This is a senior, partner-level appointment for a lawyer with an existing following in the funds space and appetite to build a team.

The role focuses on advising fund sponsors, managers and institutional investors on the structuring, formation and ongoing operation of investment funds across a range of asset classes. You will work within a broader finance and banking platform and collaborate closely with colleagues across multiple European offices.

The firm has a strong preference for team moves rather than individual hires, and is able to consider the relocation or integration of a small group. This is an opportunity to take a platform role in a cross-border practice with an established client base and a clear growth mandate.

Admitted to practise in France, Luxembourg or Belgium (or another relevant EU jurisdiction)
Substantial experience in fund formation and structuring at partner or near-partner level
Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
Fluency in English and French; additional European languages an advantage
Track record of building and managing client relationships
Team-oriented approach, with a preference for candidates able to bring or build a team
