Lateral Partner — Intellectual Property, Chicago

A highly regarded law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Intellectual Property practice in Chicago. The role focuses on leading IP work across counseling, portfolio management, and contentious matters for a diverse set of corporate clients.

The partner will supervise and develop a team of IP lawyers, work closely with other practice groups on cross-practice matters, and take an active role in business development and client relationship management. Candidates with a portable practice or demonstrable ability to generate new work are encouraged to apply.

• Established IP partner or senior counsel with substantial experience advising corporate clients on patent, trademark, and related IP matters.
• Track record of leading teams and managing client engagements from strategy through resolution.
• Proven business development ability; portable practice or a pipeline of clients preferred.
• Licensed to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction and able to work from the Chicago office.
