Established national law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its San Francisco office to lead and grow an intellectual property litigation practice with a focus on healthcare and life sciences matters. The role combines courtroom and pre-trial litigation work, cross-disciplinary collaboration with IP and regulatory teams, and business development within the healthcare sector.

The successful candidate will manage complex patent and related IP disputes, mentor junior litigators, and work closely with transactional and regulatory colleagues on life sciences matters. There is an expectation of bringing or developing a portable practice and building client relationships in the region.

Proven partner-level experience in IP litigation, including patent litigation work.
Demonstrated experience with healthcare or life sciences clients preferred.
Track record of originating and growing business; portable book of business or clear origination potential.
Strong trial and written advocacy skills and experience supervising teams.
Bar admission in California or eligibility to become admitted.
