Real Estate Partner – Land Use & Zoning (New York)

Our client, a U.S. law firm, is seeking a lateral partner to join its New York office with a highly specialized practice focused on NYC zoning, development rights (including air rights), and complex entitlement work. The ideal candidate acts primarily for developers and owners, and brings a strong institutional relationship with significant growth opportunities.

This is a strategic hire for the firm's real estate platform, driven by interest in a specific partner profile with deep knowledge of New York City's land use and entitlement landscape. The firm values transparency and is committed to fair compensation for incoming partners relative to its existing partnership.

The firm maintains an office-centric culture: attorneys are expected to work from the office at least three days per week, on average. There is no mandatory retirement age.

Qualified candidates will have:

• A portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
• An active practice representing developers and owners in connection with NYC zoning, development rights, and complex entitlements
• At least 1.5 years as a partner
• A track record of managing significant institutional client relationships
• Interest in strategic moves where there is genuine fit with the firm's platform
