Lateral Partner — Litigation — Washington, D.C.

Senior litigation partner role in a major national/international practice, based in Washington, D.C. The position calls for first‑chair trial experience and leadership on high‑stakes civil litigation matters across public- and private-sector clients.

The team handles a broad, complex caseload with strong institutional support and opportunities to work across offices and practice groups. The firm is seeking an experienced trial lawyer who can step into a leadership role, mentor associates, and manage large matters from intake through trial or major motion practice.

There is flexibility for candidates with a portable practice or an active book of business; strong client development and relationship skills will be valued.

• Established track record of first‑chair trial and appellate work in complex civil litigation
• Significant partnership or equivalent senior experience at a law firm or government litigating unit
• Proven client development ability and comfort managing or growing a portable practice
• Excellent writing, advocacy, and team leadership/mentoring skills
• Bar admission in D.C. (or ability to obtain) and willingness to work on matters across U.S. jurisdictions
