Lateral Partner — Tax & Energy, Chicago

Leading law firm seeking a lateral partner to join and grow a busy energy tax practice in the Chicago office. The role combines high-level tax counseling on energy matters with significant client development and transaction work.

The successful candidate will advise clients across transactional, regulatory and commercial contexts, lead deal teams, and help expand market presence in the region. This is a partner-level role with clear responsibility for bringing and cultivating client relationships.

• Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
• Extensive experience in tax matters for energy-sector clients (transactions, project finance, regulatory)
• Proven track record of client origination and business development
• Ability to lead teams and mentor junior lawyers
