A national law firm is seeking a lateral tax partner to join its Chicago tax team. The role will focus on advising corporate clients on a broad range of tax matters within a sophisticated, transaction-oriented practice.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative group handling complex federal, state and international tax issues and will work closely with deal teams and senior lawyers across the firm. This is an opportunity to build on an existing tax practice within a large, full-service platform.

Proven partner-level experience in tax law with a strong transactional and/or controversy background
Track record of client development and the ability to grow a portable practice
Deep technical knowledge of federal, state and international tax issues
Excellent communication and leadership skills; experience supervising associates and working cross-practice
