Leading US law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Chicago office to build and lead a tax controversy and litigation practice. The role will involve handling federal and state tax disputes, representing clients in contested proceedings and litigation, and managing a team of associates.

The successful candidate will split time between hands-on case work and business development, cultivating relationships across client sectors and expanding the practice in the Midwest. Strong courtroom experience and a proven ability to manage complex, high-stakes matters are required.

  • Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
  • Established partner with substantial tax controversy and litigation experience
  • Admissions to relevant state bars and federal courts
  • Demonstrated track record of originating business and leading teams on contested matters
