Opportunity for a partner-level hire to join a busy Tax and Litigation practice in Jackson. The role will involve handling contested tax matters and related commercial litigation across state and federal venues.

The team represents a mix of corporate and individual taxpayers and works closely with transactional and controversy teams. The firm is seeking a seasoned practitioner who can lead cases, manage client relationships and contribute to practice development locally.

Portable practice welcome — candidates with an existing tax-litigation book or demonstrable client relationships will be especially competitive.

Established partner with substantial experience in tax controversy and related litigation
Proven trial and/or appellate experience in state or federal courts
Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax code and procedural practice
Track record of client origination and ability to develop business; portable book of business encouraged
Leadership skills to supervise associates and participate in local business development
