An opportunity has arisen for a lawyer or associate to join a growing Workplace team in Perth. The team advises and represents private and public sector clients on employment law, workplace health and safety and coronial matters, with a focus on proactive advisory work and litigation.

You will work closely with a respected partner and the wider on-the-ground team, gaining exposure to investigations, prosecutions and coronial matters while building your own client relationships and technical skills. The role sits within a national group of employment and safety specialists who collaborate across practice areas and jurisdictions, so you will benefit from a diverse and well-supported caseload.

Clients span Commonwealth, state and local government as well as sectors including mining, transport, financial services, insurance, education and healthcare. The team maintains strong direct client relationships, and there are potential in-house secondment opportunities. There is also a genuine commitment to community through pro bono initiatives, offering further avenues for experience.

1+ years' post-admission experience gained in a well-regarded employment law, industrial relations or WHS practice
Experience or a keen interest in investigations, prosecutions and coronial matters
Well-developed analytical and drafting skills, ideally with some exposure to workplace and/or insurance law
Collaborative approach with exceptional communication and organisational skills
Successful applicants subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history
