Our Finance practice in Chicago seeks experienced Leveraged Finance Associates (2–6 years) to advise clients on structuring, negotiating, and executing complex financing transactions. The group represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies and financial institutions active in sponsor-led debt financings.

Associates handle secured and unsecured lending, acquisition financings, recapitalizations, and other leveraged transactions, working closely with lenders, borrowers, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Day-to-day work includes drafting and negotiating credit agreements, bond indentures, commitment letters, security and guarantee agreements, intercreditor and subordination agreements, and coordinating closings. The role also involves advising on legal risks, regulatory requirements, and market practice, and supporting business development initiatives.

JD from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice and in good standing with the Illinois Bar.
2–6 years of leveraged finance or related experience, with drafting and negotiation proficiency commensurate with class year.
Solid understanding of secured transactions, syndicated lending, and acquisition finance.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
Comfort using AI technologies responsibly and ethically in legal practice.
