Leveraged Finance Associate (Multi-Office)

An international law firm is seeking a finance associate with a focus on fund finance and private credit transactions to join its leveraged finance subgroup. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, market-leading matters with a collaborative and supportive team.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive legal research and analysis to support transaction preparation and strategy.
• Drafting well-reasoned legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
• Assisting with and managing complex transactions from inception to resolution, including negotiations, closings, and related activities.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships by providing regular updates, advice, and responsive service.
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Ensuring rigorous compliance with legal standards and staying abreast of regulatory changes.
• Participating in professional development and firm initiatives, including pro bono opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of four years of relevant experience in fund finance, private credit, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, or structured finance.
• Experience in an AmLaw 100 or comparable environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

A Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the state of practice are required. This position is open to multiple offices across the United States and offers a hybrid work environment.

• Minimum 4 years of directly applicable leveraged finance experience.
• Experience in a large law firm environment (AmLaw 100 preferred).
• JD from an accredited law school.
