An Am Law 50 firm is seeking a highly qualified mid-level licensing associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its Life Sciences group in Boston. Fluency in Mandarin is required, and experience working in Asia is strongly preferred.

The role centers on intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and other technology transactions, as well as IP support for corporate transactions in the life sciences arena. Associates work across practice areas and offices in a collaborative, collegial, and entrepreneurial atmosphere.

3–5 years of licensing experience within a Life Sciences practice
Fluency in Mandarin required; experience working in Asia strongly preferred
Experience in intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and other technology transactions
Experience with IP and technology transaction due diligence for corporate transactions in the life sciences arena
Drafting and negotiating IP licenses (including patent and trademark licenses); joint development, collaboration, and strategic alliance agreements; technology licenses and services agreements (including SaaS agreements); and distribution agreements
Ability to manage substantial components of transactions independently as well as work in teams
Outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
