Top-tier life sciences practice is seeking a mid-level associate (3–4 years' experience) to join its New York IP group focused on licensing and technology transactions. The role centers on counseling life sciences and biotech clients on intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and related commercial agreements.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating patent and trademark licenses, joint development and collaboration agreements, technology and services agreements (including SaaS), and distribution agreements; performing IP and technology-transaction due diligence for corporate deals; and supporting broader transactional work. Candidates will work collaboratively on teams and be expected to manage substantial components of matters independently.

Strong academic credentials, excellent written and verbal communication, and relevant bar admission (or prompt eligibility) are required.

3–4 years' post-qualification experience in IP licensing and technology transactions
Direct experience with patent and trademark licensing, technology transfer, or similar agreements
Experience drafting/negotiating joint development, collaboration, SaaS/services, and distribution agreements
Experience conducting IP and technology-transaction due diligence for corporate matters
Demonstrated ability to work in teams and manage substantial transaction components independently
Excellent written and verbal communication and strong academic background
Bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
