Apply in confidence →Mid-level associate role in a US-based practice focused on life-sciences intellectual property and technology transactions. The position centers on licensing, technology transfer and related agreements supporting biopharma and biotech clients.
Fluency in Mandarin is required; experience working in Asia or on Asia-focused matters is strongly preferred. Work will include drafting and negotiating patent/trademark licenses, joint development and collaboration agreements, technology and services agreements, distribution arrangements, and conducting IP and technology-transaction due diligence in the context of corporate deals.
Candidates will join a collaborative team environment and be expected to manage substantial components of transactions independently. Bar admission (or prompt eligibility) and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- 3–5 years' post-qualification experience in IP/technology licensing or technology transfer
- Fluency in Mandarin; experience working on matters involving Asia strongly preferred
- Practical experience drafting and negotiating IP licenses, collaboration agreements, technology/services agreements and distribution agreements
- Experience performing IP and technology-transaction due diligence for corporate transactions
- Ability to work effectively on teams and manage significant deal components independently
- Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
