Apply in confidence →Mid-level associate role on a life sciences licensing team in the Washington, DC office. The position focuses on intellectual property and technology transactions supporting life sciences clients, including licensing, collaboration agreements, and technology transfer work.
Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating patent and trademark licences, joint development and strategic alliance agreements, technology and services agreements (including SaaS), distribution arrangements, and conducting IP/technology-transaction due diligence in connection with corporate matters.
Successful candidates will be comfortable working on teams and managing substantial transaction components independently, and will have strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent academic credentials. Relevant bar admission (or prompt eligibility) is required.
- 3–4 years of post-qualification experience in intellectual property licensing and technology transactions, ideally with life sciences matters
- Experience drafting and negotiating patent and trademark licenses, collaboration/joint-development agreements, technology/service agreements (including SaaS), and distribution agreements
- Experience conducting IP and technology-transaction due diligence for corporate transactions and technology transfers
- Proven ability to manage substantive components of transactions independently and to work effectively in teams; excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant bar admission or near-term eligibility
