Litigation Attorney – Construction Practice Group

We are seeking an attorney with 3 to 7 years of litigation experience to join our Litigation Department, supporting the Construction practice group in our Florida offices. This is a full-time, non-partner track position. The role involves handling a high volume of matters independently in an office setting.

Key responsibilities include: conducting legal research and writing, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, taking depositions, and gaining trial experience. Many matters proceed through arbitration, so comfort with that forum is essential.

Ideal candidates will have strong research and writing skills, experience with motion practice and depositions, and some trial exposure. Background in mediation, arbitration, or litigation involving insurance, construction, or design defect claims is preferred. A proven ability to settle cases and manage a team of paralegals and support staff is beneficial.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active membership in the Florida Bar and in good standing.
• 3 to 7 years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience conducting discovery, arguing motions, and taking depositions.
• Some trial experience preferred; comfort with arbitration is beneficial.
• Experience with insurance, construction, or design defect claims is strongly preferred.
• Proven case settlement track record is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; experience supervising paralegals or support staff is beneficial.
