M&A Associate — Austin

A leading global law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join its market-leading M&A group in its Austin office. This is an in-office role; remote candidates will not be considered.

The successful candidate will focus primarily on mergers and acquisitions, working on large, sophisticated transactions. Attorneys with either strategic or private equity M&A experience are encouraged to apply.

The role involves managing and supporting complex domestic and cross-border corporate and other transactional matters from inception through closing and post-closing activities, with significant client contact and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

• 2–7 years of M&A experience.
• Direct and applicable experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm.
• Strong academic background from a nationally recognized law school (JD from an accredited law school).
• Admitted to practice in Texas, or able to waive in without taking the Texas bar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively and independently.
