Mergers & Acquisitions Resource Attorney

Role Summary: Join a leading global law firm as a Mergers & Acquisitions Resource Attorney. In this non-client-facing, non-billable role, you will enable M&A practitioners to work more efficiently by managing know-how, developing forms and precedents, and supporting training and business development initiatives.

• Transaction Database Management: Input deal terms from completed transactions into the firm’s revamped database and collaborate with the knowledge management team on audits and maintenance.
• Forms & Precedents: Draft and revise template documents; curate and organize the M&A group’s forms, precedents, and other know-how.
• Legal Updates: Monitor legal and regulatory developments, prepare summaries and alerts, and ensure resources reflect new requirements.
• Legal Education: Coordinate with the legal education team on associate and firmwide training content related to M&A.
• Marketing Support: Work with the marketing team on the M&A blog, pitches, and teach-in materials.
• Attorney Requests: Field day-to-day requests for precedents, templates, and other resources from attorneys.
• New Initiatives: Contribute to resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Licensed attorney with at least 4 years of experience in a U.S. M&A corporate/transactional practice.
• Familiarity with public and private M&A, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties, and market trends.
• Strong drafting and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work collaboratively.

Compensation & Benefits: The expected annual pay range is $220,000–$315,000, dependent on geographic location, experience, and skills.
