A full-service law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its busy Real Estate Department, with the position available across several offices in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.

The ideal candidate will bring three to five years of retail-industry and commercial real estate experience. Day to day, the role involves negotiating and drafting lease agreements and related documents, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful transactions, and advising on regulatory, land use, and municipal hearing matters. The associate will also review title work and negotiate SNDAs and other lender-approval instruments.

Candidates should have a strong academic record and excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, with sharp attention to detail and sound critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.

3–5 years of retail-industry and commercial real estate experience
Juris Doctor (JD) required
Licensed to practice in the state of the relevant office
Experience preparing contracts, leases, and purchase-and-sale agreements
Experience conducting due diligence for real estate-related mergers and acquisitions
Strong research, writing, and academic credentials
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
