Our Real Estate Practice Group is seeking a 5th-8th year associate to join its team. This position offers flexibility in office location, with placement across our U.S. offices.

We are looking for a well-rounded, highly motivated lawyer with substantial experience in commercial real estate and financing transactions. Candidates should have significant involvement in mixed-use, office, multifamily, retail, hotel, and resort properties, as well as other commercial projects. You will be expected to draft, negotiate, and manage a range of transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan agreements, easements, CC&Rs, development agreements, and property management agreements. Experience with real estate development and joint ventures is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing, communication, and project management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. You will interact directly with partners and clients, and should demonstrate a positive attitude, exceptional work ethic, and a willingness to mentor junior attorneys. To be considered, you must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school, be an active member of the bar in the jurisdiction(s) where you are admitted, and, if applying from a judicial clerkship, you must apply directly.

5th-8th year associate (typically 2018-2021 bar admission)
Substantial experience in commercial real estate and financing transactions
Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills
Experience with purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan agreements, easements, CC&Rs, development agreements, and property management agreements
Experience in real estate development and joint ventures preferred
Excellent writing and communication skills
JD from an ABA-approved law school
Active bar membership in good standing
