Seeking a lateral partner to join a major U.S. law firm’s San Francisco office to lead and grow a cross-practice corporate, intellectual property and antitrust practice. The role combines transactional M&A and private equity work with IP and antitrust litigation and counseling, with strong ties to life sciences and technology clients.

The position offers a platform to originate and oversee significant matters, work alongside established teams across offices, and develop client relationships in private equity, life sciences, tech and related sectors. The group values partners who can bring a portable practice and collaborate across corporate, IP and antitrust disciplines.

Partner-level experience at a national or international firm with a demonstrated record in M&A, private equity, and IP/antitrust matters.
Substantive experience in patent litigation and life‑sciences or tech sector matters, plus familiarity with antitrust issues tied to transactions.
Proven business development ability; portable book of business preferred.
Active bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction (California preferred) and experience supervising teams and leading client engagements.
