Search is open for a lateral partner to lead and grow a market-facing energy and environmental practice in a major Chicago office of a large national law firm. The role combines partner-level client counsel, matter leadership, and firm business development across transactional, regulatory and litigation-adjacent matters in the energy and environmental space.

The office seeks an experienced lawyer who can advise energy companies, regulated entities and other stakeholders on regulatory compliance, permitting, environmental due diligence and related commercial issues. The role offers a platform to expand a portable practice and to work with an established, multidisciplinary team.

Partner-level experience in energy and environmental law, with a track record advising corporate or institutional clients.
Demonstrated business development ability; a portable practice or clear origination record is an advantage.
Strong technical knowledge of environmental regulation, permitting, and energy sector commercial issues.
Bar admission in Illinois (or ability to qualify) and experience leading matters and mentoring junior lawyers.
