Highly regarded national law firm seeks a lateral partner to lead and grow the Environmental and Compliance practice in its Kansas City office. The role will combine client-facing regulatory counseling with management of environmental matters and development of a multidisciplinary compliance offering.

The successful candidate will advise on environmental regulatory matters, compliance programs, and permitting and enforcement issues. Experience with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) matters is a plus but not required; candidates should be prepared to take a leadership role on regional environmental work and cross-practice client solutions.

Admission to the relevant state bar and federal court credentials as required.
Established partner-level experience in environmental law, regulatory counseling, or compliance matters.
Proven client development skills and ability to grow a regional practice; a portable practice or book of business is welcome but not strictly required.
Strong written and oral advocacy and team leadership experience.
