Leading law firm in New York is seeking a lateral partner to join a well-established energy tax practice. The role focuses on tax advice for energy clients across transactional, project, and regulatory matters, including structuring, tax-efficient financing, and compliance issues.

The successful candidate will be expected to originate and develop client relationships, work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, and help grow a market-facing tax offering in the energy sector. A portable practice or demonstrated ability to bring clients is welcome.

Established partner with substantial experience in tax matters for energy clients
Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax law relevant to energy transactions and project finance
Proven business development record and ability to build a portable practice
Experience leading teams and collaborating across transactional and regulatory practices; licensed to practice in New York (or eligible)
