Leading global law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Portland office to build and lead a tax and estate planning practice. The role will focus on advising high-net-worth individuals, families and closely held businesses on sophisticated estate, gift and transfer-tax matters.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable record of partner-level client work, strong technical skills in federal and state tax and estate planning, and an ability to originate and grow client relationships. A portable practice or book of business is welcome.

Significant partner-level experience in tax and estate planning
Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax law and estate/wealth-transfer planning techniques
Proven business development and client-management skills; portable practice preferred
Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction or eligibility to transfer
