Leading national law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its San Francisco team to lead and grow a tax-controversy and tax-litigation practice. The role will handle litigation at trial and appellate levels, advise on tax disputes, and work on contentious matters involving federal and state tax authorities.

The hire will manage and mentor associates, coordinate with cross-practice teams, and contribute to business development efforts to expand the practice regionally. The team handles a mix of courtroom work and high-value advisory engagements.

Partner-level experience in tax controversy and tax litigation (trial and appellate experience preferred).
Strong record of client relationship development and business origination; portable practice welcomed.
Experience supervising associates and collaborating across practices.
Bar admission in California and eligibility to practice in relevant courts.
