Patent Litigation Associate — San Francisco

Seeking a patent litigation associate to join a major international litigation team in San Francisco handling high‑stakes disputes for leading technology companies. The role involves ownership of patent case workstreams, including drafting contentions, preparing for and arguing Markman issues, and managing written and oral fact and expert discovery.

Successful candidates will work directly with partners and clients and collaborate with technical teams, explaining complex technical issues to engineers and developers. The position offers exposure to global, multi‑jurisdictional matters and opportunities to engage on sophisticated patent litigation strategies.

The team values strong technical background and courtroom‑ready litigation experience in patent matters. U.S. bar membership and the ability to sit in the San Francisco office are required.

• Minimum of 3 years patent litigation experience (mid‑ to senior‑associate level)
• Technical degree in engineering, applied physics, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent technical experience
• Experience driving contentions, Markman work, and fact/expert discovery
• Juris Doctor (ABA‑accredited) and membership in a U.S. bar
• Comfort interfacing with engineers, clients, and partner‑level stakeholders
