Top-tier U.S. law firm seeks a junior to mid-level patent prosecution associate to join its IP practice across multiple U.S. offices (including Washington, D.C., New York, and Los Angeles).

The role focuses on patent prosecution and counseling for clients in mechanical and aerospace (with related electrical/computer) technologies. The team includes former patent examiners and practitioners with industry experience, providing strong support for developing and managing patent portfolios.

1–3 years patent prosecution experience (USPTO or law-firm setting); prior patent examiner experience is a plus
Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the relevant state bar; PTO registration preferred
Strong academic record, excellent writing skills, and sharp analytical ability; applications should include a brief cover letter indicating office preference and academic transcripts as applicable
