National government & public practice seeking a planning lawyer to join multiple UK offices. The role involves advising on land use and zoning matters across public- and private-sector clients, handling development consents, planning conditions, and related statutory processes.

The team advises on a mix of transactional and advisory work, including planning applications, appeals and inquiries, local authority engagement, and strategic development matters. The post-holder will work collaboratively across offices and with external stakeholders on high-profile and routine matters.

Qualified lawyer (solicitor/advocate or equivalent) in the UK jurisdiction relevant to the chosen office.
Practical experience in planning, land use or zoning law, including applications, appeals or inquiries.
Strong drafting and advocacy skills, with experience engaging local authorities and other stakeholders.
Ability to work across multiple offices, manage a varied caseload and travel to hearings as required.
