Apply in confidence →National government & public practice seeking a planning lawyer to join multiple UK offices. The role involves advising on land use and zoning matters across public- and private-sector clients, handling development consents, planning conditions, and related statutory processes.
The team advises on a mix of transactional and advisory work, including planning applications, appeals and inquiries, local authority engagement, and strategic development matters. The post-holder will work collaboratively across offices and with external stakeholders on high-profile and routine matters.
- Qualified lawyer (solicitor/advocate or equivalent) in the UK jurisdiction relevant to the chosen office.
- Practical experience in planning, land use or zoning law, including applications, appeals or inquiries.
- Strong drafting and advocacy skills, with experience engaging local authorities and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work across multiple offices, manage a varied caseload and travel to hearings as required.
