An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Principal Associate or Legal Director to join a market-leading Leveraged Finance practice in London, with a focus on deepening expertise and growing market share in the capital.

The firm's established banking team operates as one national group, so the successful candidate will help shape the local team and brand while benefiting from the structure and support needed to progress. The work is varied and centres on leveraged finance, corporate financings and growth lending / venture debt, acting for a mix of lender, sponsor and corporate clients.

The role covers the full transaction lifecycle, including drafting and negotiating facilities agreements and security documents (primarily LMA form), negotiating intercreditor arrangements, and working closely with corporate and restructuring teams and, where appropriate, overseas lawyers. With a consistent volume of transactions, this is an excellent platform to assume matter responsibility, with ample opportunity to participate in client development initiatives and to progress longer term.

The national banking and finance team advises on financing transactions across a wide variety of sectors, often with a multi-jurisdictional element. Acting for borrowers, lenders and investors provides a practical understanding of all parties' needs, with expertise spanning corporate lending, leveraged finance, asset finance, real estate finance (investment and development), energy and infrastructure finance, and invoice discounting on both a bilateral and syndicated basis. The team works closely with major banks and financial institutions and holds approved panel status with many of them.

At least 5 years PQE.
Strong leveraged finance experience at your current firm.
Experience liaising with lenders, borrowers, intermediaries and/or investors across the full transaction lifecycle.
A naturally proactive approach and genuine passion for the work.
