Private Companies Associate

Practice Area: Corporate (Emerging Growth & Startups, Venture Capital, Mergers & Acquisitions)

Role: 3rd–6th year associate joining a leading national private companies practice, advising disruptive companies and their investors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Counsel venture-backed, early- and growth-stage companies on general corporate matters throughout their growth cycle, including venture capital financings and liquidity events.
• Support a dynamic national team that serves some of the most prominent high-growth companies and their investors.
• Build and run a practice, participate in speaking engagements, and contribute to the development of the firm’s private companies platform.

Qualifications:

• At least three years of substantial experience working with early- and growth-stage companies, with deep experience in venture capital financings and liquidity events.
• Experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm.
• Strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Expected annual pay range: $260,000–$390,000 (final offer based on geographic location, experience, and skillset).
