Private Equity Associate — Corporate (Los Angeles)

Well-regarded national firm is seeking a 3rd–6th year associate with transactional private equity and M&A experience to join its Los Angeles corporate team. The role focuses on representing private equity sponsors, funds and portfolio companies on acquisitions, dispositions and related fund matters in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and ancillary transaction documents, and working closely with client business teams as a hands-on member of deal teams. The team offers broad exposure to sponsor-side transactions and opportunity for substantive client-facing work.

• 3–6 years of post-qualification transactional experience (private equity/M&A focus)
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating purchase/merger agreements and LLC/LP agreements
• Excellent drafting, writing, analytical and project-management skills
• Strong attention to detail, commercial judgment and ability to work effectively in teams
• Top academic credentials and prior large-firm private equity experience preferred
