Private Equity Attorney

Our client, a leading law firm, seeks a 3rd–6th year attorney to join its Private Equity and M&A practice in Washington, D.C. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills to work with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

• Draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other ancillary transaction documents.
• Provide day-to-day counsel to private equity fund and portfolio company clients.
• Play a lead role as an extension of client business teams, exercising sound business and strategic judgment.
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, transactional setting.

Ideal candidates will have excellent academic credentials and prior large-firm experience working with private equity sponsors. Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and project management skills are essential.

3–6 years of private equity and M&A experience; excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills; strong attention to detail; proven ability to manage multiple projects; prior large-firm experience working with private equity sponsors; outstanding academic credentials.
